Racecourse to host vintage rally

Mark Woodward’s famous classic car shows start the much-anticipated 2021 season with Ripley Castle on Bank Holiday Monday May 31, followed by Ripon Racecourse on Sunday June 13.

“It’s been the toughest 15 months for event organisers, traders, and of course isolated and locked-down families,” reflects Mark.

“With hundreds of enquiries from across the county asking ‘when are you coming back?’, it was a clear no—brainer to celebrate our return at these two great North Yorkshire venues.”

Ripley Castle’s deer park and Ripon’s well-appointed racecourse will soon reverberate to the roar of classic cars, motorcycles, trucks, farm and army vehicles, and kit and custom curiosities, from all eras.

With arena shows, displays, trade stands and autojumble bargains, plus plenty of Covid-safe facilities and refreshment stops, there’s plenty for the whole family - outdoor enthusiasts and history lovers as well as motoring buffs.

“Everyone’s safety and comfort is our number one priority,” confirmed Mark.

“With lots of outdoor space, both venues are perfect for relaxed strolling, or roaring off youthful energy in the fresh air.

“We love visitors bringing their own classic car, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcomed in both showgrounds, so the whole family is invited, and we can’t wait to see you all!”

Running 10am-4pm, both shows are easily accessed from main travel routes, with plentiful free parking and amenities.

Adult tickets are £7.50, with welcome-back entry for accompanied children aged 15 and under are free of charge.

In the unfortunate event of cancellation due to changes in government restrictions, tickets remain valid for any future Mark Woodward events, or can be refunded on request.
