The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond has put tickets on sale for its autumn season.
The season, which runs from September 1 to January 5, is full of music, new drama, local talent and much more culminating in its third in-house, professional pantomime –Babes in the Wood.
The popular family matinee season continues on the second Saturday of each month, starting with Scarecrow on October 13 – a show which explores the beauty of friendships.
Among the music being showcased is the annual Richmond Jazz Festival from September 14 - 16 which features Roller Trio, The Atlantic Soul Messengers and Richmond Jam.
There will also be Fourum, a locally-based folk band who combine tales of the Dales with great music, performing on September 21 plus the theatre is welcoming back two giants of the folk scene – Radio 2 Folk Musician of the year Andy Cutting on October 13 and Ralph McTell on October 14.
Among the drama acts appearing at the Georgian will be the Icarus Theatre Collective which returns to Richmond with Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet from October 25 - 27.
The theatre is also welcoming back the North Country Theatre, which is staging The Lighthouse on Shivering Sands from October 2 - 3, and the Hull Truck Theatre Company with its adaptation of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde on November 13 - 14.
The theatre is also included on the premier tour of Happy Jack, a brand new play written and directed by John Godber which takes place November 2 - 3.
