Professional theatre company, Planet Rabbit, are bring their la test touring show to Knaresborough this weekend.

A Little in Tents will play at Frazer Theatre tomorrow night, Friday.

The current tour takes in Whitby, Bridlington, Buxton, Grassington and many more, but it’s their first visit to the Frazer Theatre in Knaresborough.

Joining the company for his 4th production with the company is Knaresborough-based actor Michael Wardle.

A Little in Tents tells the story of pensioner Ron and his son Simon who are head ing off on a camping trip, despite neither of them having slept in a tent since a disastrous holiday in Bridlington in 1982 when Simon was 12.

Ron is hoping for a relaxing break with a spot of fishing, Simon with a good book.

All is going according to plan until larger than life Jill and Michelle pitch up beside them and stamp out any tranquillity.

This is not quite the outdoor experience any of them had envisaged!

Michael has worked extensively in theatre, film and tv since the 1960s following his graduation from the Guildford School of Acting.

On the recommendation of Alec Guiness Michael won a role in the West End and has never looked back.

Michael is most recognised for his roles in ‘Withnail & I’ (Parkin the farmer) and ‘Alan Partridge’ (Gordon, Lynn’s boyfriend), however, Michael’s CV also boasts feature roles in Heartbeat, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Z Cars, When the Boat Comes In, Last of the Summer Wine, Holby City, Fat Friends, Where the Heart Is, Cold Feet and many more. Theatre work has included seasons in Eastbourne, York, Harrogate and Windsor.
