A series of performances of Calendar Girls by the Masham Players has raised £1,700 for charity.
The play was staged at Masham town hall and North Stainley village hall where capacity crowds were entertained.
The money raised has been presented to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research/Beating Blood Cancers, with Julie and Andrew Muffit of the Wensleydale branch of the charity receiving it on behalf of the organisation.
The charity is looking to hold a fundraising ball later this year – following its successful inaugural event in 2012 – to celebrate the setting up of the branch.
Masham Players, meanwhile, are rehearsing their next production which will be An Inspector Calls by J B Priestley, directed by Kathy Boyer. It will be performed at Masham town hall on March 14-16 and tickets will be available from Masham Community Office or via the website www.mashamplayers.co.uk
