Ex-England footballer Danny Mills was among the guests speaking at the launch of Harrogate Theatre’s new season earlier this week.
With the theatre’s chief executive David Bown, executive producer Kevin Jamieson and director Phil Lowe spelling out the theatre’s continuued success over the past year, it left the field clear for the likes of Mills to look head to strong events coming up.
The Leeds Utd legent is co-organising a charity fundraiser at the Royal Hall with the theatre for Shine, the charity which supports individuals and families as they face the challenges arising from spina bifida.
Hosted by Match of the Day 2’s Mark Chapman, Sporting Truths will take place on November 14 and promises appearances by a plethora of sporting stars.
Deborah McAndrew, from Northern Broadsides talked about the renowned theatre company’s world premiere of their new co-production with Harrogate Theatre, The Grand Gesture.
