SMASH hit Radio 4 comedian Count Arthur Strong is to record his new DVD at Harrogate Theatre.

Following a hugely successful (sell out) first run of the Command Performance last year, Arthur will once again grace the Harrogate Theatre stage on Friday, March 16.

This marks the fourth visit to Harrogate from the Sony Gold Award Winner following three previous sell-out visits.

Arthur is ably assisted in the Command Performance by Terry Kilkelly playing Malcolm and Renee, and Dave Plimmer as Dad’s Army’s Alan Leslie.

Comedian Steve Delaney first created Count Arthur Strong in the ‘80s as a drama student. He revived the character in the late nineties for the Edinburgh Fringe and then promptly retired from all other performing roles with the realisation that Arthur was his destiny. Count Arthur Strong’s Radio Show! hit the airways of BBC Radio 4 in late December 2005 to huge critical acclaim.

Count Arthur Strong’s Radio Show! has featured on BBC Radio 4’s Feedback, Pick of the Week and message boards more than any other artists in recent years, with a debate that hasn’t raged so strongly s
