Rising star set to wow Rudding Park

Popular classical soprano Alexandra Lowe is to headline a benefit concert for the army at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate.

At the age of 21, this talented singer is no stranger to audiences in the Harrogate area, having performed in a wide variety of events across the district and beyond in recent years, from Vivaldi to West End musicals.

For this special night on Monday, September 30, Alexandra will be accompanied by some of her prize-winning peers from the Royal Northern College of Music.

These include baritone Tom Isherwood, violinist Joy Becker and pianist Simon Passmore.

Set in the elegant Radcliffe room at the award-winning Rudding Park, the versatile Alexandra will be performing a programme featuring much-loved songs from the musicals and operatic arias.

The concert will also feature special guest Antony Raine, a singer-songwriter from London who has just recently left The Queen’s Roya Lancers to pursue his career in music.

Ths prize-winning Alexandra will be performing in support of Combat Stress, the UK’s leading charity that specialises in the treatment and support of British Armed Forces Veterans who suffer from mental health issues such as post-traumatic stress.

The concert is also in support of The Queen’s Royal Lancers, a serving armoured reconnaissance regiment based in Catterick which has served in Iraq and Afghanistan and has Her Majesty the Queen as its Colonel-in-Chief.

There will be a charity raffle. Any prizes will be greatly received by organisers.
