Grassington Festival has made its first major announcement of its headline acts for next year’s event.
Presenting a total of 15 days of music and art in the Yorkshire Dales in June, one sure-fire hit is set to be The Boomtown Rats, who play on Friday, June 27.
The hitmakers are led by Bob Geldof whose warm Irish voice helmed hits like Rat Trap and I Don’t Like Mondays.
With a string of top ten hits and platinum albums, ther Boomtown Rats remain one of the biggest bands from the 70’s and 80’s.
The Last Night Party is set to go down a storm, too, on June 28, with star headliner Heather Small (M People) who will be wowing the crowd with her mix of best selling solo tracks including Proud and some of M People’s well known hits like Moving on Up.
The line-up for the festival in the Field Marquee is set to bring some fresh and talented names to Grassington, including the new look Only Men Aloud with special guest Laura Wright.
They promise to bring accessible music from the classical tradition through to pop and jazz within the Welsh male choral music tradition on Thursday, June 26.
