A Harrogate art venue is showing the latest artwork released by music legend Bob Dylan.

Castle Galleries have launched six new prints of Bob Dylan’s Drawn Blank series - all signed by the famous musician himself.

The Drawn Blank Series is based on drawings made by Dylan while on the road from 1989 to 1992.

Dylan later transformed them into original watercolour and gouache paintings which visually evoke the stylistic hallmarks of Dylan’s prose, poetry and music.

Only 295 limited edition graphics of each painting have been created, which were described by Marisha Pessl in the New York Times as “an extraordinary collection, illustrating the treads of human experience.”

Among the latest prints are Trailer, Bell Tower Stockholm, Corner Flat, Iron Railing and Backstage Dressing Room.

Greg Webster, Castle Galleries, Harrogate’s gallery manager, said: “It is very exciting that we can display the works of the cultural phenomenon that is Bob Dylan.”
