Celebrity cooks James Martin, Mary Berry and the Hairy Bikers are amongst the names set to appear at Harrogate International Centre (HIC) after the venue was chosen to host the BBC Good Food Show Spring.
The three-day event is expected to attract 15,000 visitors to the town in April, in what could be the first of a high-profile annual show for HIC.
HIC director Simon Kent said: “River Street Events choosing Harrogate to host its new Spring Show is a massive coup for the town and a fantastic start to 2014 for us.
“Yorkshire is building an enviable reputation in the culinary world thanks to talented chefs like James Martin, some great local produce and a number of Michelin starred restaurants. The Spring Show is going to cement our place on the UK foodie map.
“Anyone who loves good food or trying something new in the kitchen needs to get down to HIC in April because there is going to be an incredible amount of things to have a go at here.”
As well as several well-known chefs giving live demonstrations in the Supertheatre, the BBC Good Food Show will feature a huge range of food exhibitors from around the country.
The BBC Good Food Shows attract about 230,000 visitors from across the UK and this is the first Spring event in Harrogate.
The show runs from April 25-27 at Harrogate International Centre. For more information, including ticket details, go to www.bbcgoodfoodshowspring.com
