The Pop-Up Gallery is set to return to Leyburn, following its successful launch in February.
Warlands Gallery at Dales Haven, will play host to an ‘Affordable Art Show’, supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, which will run from Saturday September 8 until the September 30.
Founder Sue Dewhurst said “I am thrilled to have this opportunity. The Pop-Up Gallery set out to help artists and art lovers beat the recession and to bring affordable art to unique venues across the Dales’ and Warlands Gallery is a fabulous gem of a venue.
“Many of the artists involved this year in the Pop-Up Gallery programme of events have enjoyed the opportunity to come out of their studios and discuss ideas of how to work smarter and to face the current difficult economic climate.
“The idea of this affordable show is just one of those ideas and is proving a good discipline to some of the artists who are used to working on an altogether bigger and more costly scale.”
The exhibition will have something for everyone with some unique work for under £50. Set to exhibit, are local professional artists Clare Lindley, Sharon Furness, Nora Yates, Josie Haskett, Aileen Harvey, Bev Haines, Denise Burden, Gemma Goodall, Sue Dewhurst, Sue Ison and Kathryn Guy.
Also on display will be a specially commissioned Leyburn Art-shelf by artist-cabinet maker Christina Simpson.
