The 14th annual Mickley Show takes place tomorrow, Saturday, August 27 at Newfield, Mickley.

Organised by members and supporters of the West of Yore Hunt, the event last year raised £1,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice.

This year’s chosen charity will be the Yorkshire Air Ambulance which relies on donations to keep flying.

The show opens at 8.45am and throughout the day there will be classes for lead rein, veteran and working hunter horses and ponies.

Dog classes start at 12.30pm with prizes for the best veteran, scruffiest and best six legs.

The Mickley dog derby takes place in the afternoon and is open to all breeds bar greyhounds, lurchers and whippets. A silver cup will be presented to the winner.

The West of Yore Hounds will parade at 2pm and there will also be a bumper raffle as well as a produce stall run by friends of Mickley Church.

Entry is £3 per person.
