Ripon Rotary Rowels will once again present their annual community Gunpowder Plot Night at Ripon Racecourse tonight – Friday, November 1.
The gates will open at 5pm when the evening will start with children’s entertainment including amusement rides and music by the Ripon Grammar School Big Band Sound.
The bonfire will be lit at 7pm by MP Julian Smith before the fireworks display begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets are on sale at the following outlets – G Craggs Electrical in Ripon and Boroughbridge, and in Ripon: Lead Lane Stores, Bondgate Post Office, Benson’s hardware store, Hay’s Travel, Cowie Newsagents on Westgate and Ripon News on North Street.
Tickets in advance cost: family tickets (two adults, two children) £12, adults £5, children £2. Admission on the night is adults £6, children £3 (no family tickets available on the night).
A collection will be made on the night for ABF The Soldiers Charity for the new military hospital at Catterick Garrison to help returning injured service men and women.
