Two nights of Harrogate Pirate Radio this weekend

Harrogate Pirate Radio is back this weekend thanks to Vinyl Sessions - with a special guest DJ and a new soul music show.

Tonight, Friday's broadcast will once again come straight from Vinyl Sessions organiser/hi fi aficiando/DJ Colin Paine's own house.

Running from 8pm to 10pm, Colin promises two hours of classic rock, pop, indie hits from five decades streamed live on vinyl.

Tomorrow, Saturday, sees top local soul DJ Ian Smith step in to select and present Get Down Saturday Night on the Harrogate Vinyl Sessions (High Quality internet radio server) between 8pm and 10pm.

The popular DJ will be playing feel-good Soul, Motown, Funk, Disco, Northern, R&B and Reggae on original vinyl.

So far Vinyl Sessions, which usually takes place at Starling Independent Bar Cafe Kitchen in Harrogate, has raised more than £12,000 in total for Friends of Harrogate Hospital charity with another £600 so far from the new online version.
