New art gallery in Harlow Oval house proves big hit
The launch for the new Silson Contemporary Art Gallery at Harlow Oval in Harrogate has received fantastic comments from visitors.
Sarah, a part-time radiographer and mammographer at Harrogate Hospital, has held the dream of having her own gallery and promoting local artists for a long time and it's a dream which has clearly paid off.

Hide AdSarah, who has a degree in Art History, said: “The launch was all a bit of a blur for me - so busy and buzzing. There were lots of visitors and lots of sales since then.
“Everyone who visited said it was a beautiful space and commented on my choice of art and artists.”

The Silson Contemporary Art Gallery is open every Friday from 10.30am to 4pm - though, please note, on Friday, December 23 it will be by appointment only.

Hide AdThe gallery is also open on one weekend a month from 10.30am to 4pm, the next one takes place this Saturday and Sunday, November 12-13 and then again on December 3-4.
The gallery will also have Christmas late night opening on Thursday, December 1 from 6pm to 9pm.
Silson's opening exhibition is called New Beginnings and features a wide range of different pieces in a variety of mediums from respected artists across the region.
