Concluding the Brownbacks mountainbike series at Lee Quarry, was round four and all was to play for in the under 16 category.

Two riders, Harrogate Boneshakers’ new rider Edwyn Oliver-Evans and Rhos-on-Sea CC’s Dylan Kerfoot-Robson, were separated by only one point at the top of the series table, with the superior rider in the final round set to take the series title.

The course was the most technical and demanding of the series.

Inseparable for the first half of the race, Kerfoot-Robson made a break and managed to achieve a reasonable gap on the Boneshakers rider.

However, Oliver-Evans soon wiped out the gap, and passed the Welsh rider and solo-ed to the race win.

Oliver-Evans finished the series with two wins and a second, crowning him the Brownbacks mountainbike series under 16 champion.
