Town won four of their five matches last month to propel them into contention for the league championship.

After coming from behind to beat Stockport County 2-1 on February 2, Town have kept four consecutive clean sheets.

Successive 1-0 wins away from home over North Ferriby United and Stalybridge Celtic followed before Town gained revenge against FC United of Manchester in a comprehensive 5-0 win.

The four game winning run was brought to a halt last weekend but Weaver's men still gained on their promotion rivals with a goalless draw at home to Gloucester City.

Weaver said: "I'm pleased to receive the award but it's very much a team effort at the club both on and off the pitch.

"We can be all delighted with the progress made in the last month.

"The spirit and unity at the club has driven the performances and we will now focus on striving for more positive results in the weeks ahead."

Weaver last won the manager of the month award in February 2014. However it proved a bogey sign for the club with only two wins in the next 11 matches.

Town kick off a potentially crucial month of March at third-placed Nuneaton Town on Saturday before travelling to Tamworth, in seventh, on Tuesday.
