harrogate Town suffered their third defeat in eight days on Saturday, losing 3-0 to Hyde FC at Wetherby Road.
The Blue Square North contest got off to a bad start for the hosts as early as the seventh minute, when Hyde right back Andy Pearson nodded in Ryan Crowther’s free kick.
Town should have levelled in the 16th minute when Jonny Allan was pulled back when clear through on goal, but referee Billy Khalib waved away their penalty appeals.
Nine minutes into the second half Hyde slammed in their second, again through another defender when after a corner centre half Danny Hall directed a swerving ball past ‘keeper Zac Jones.
Town boss Simon Weaver showed intent by making a treble substitution five minutes later but none of the new faces were able to make an impact.
And it was to get even worse as from yet another set piece, Hyde found the net.
Another centre half, this time Gianluca Havern poked in Callum Byrne’s corner in the 68th minute.
Town were unable to find a way through for any sort of consolation by the final whistle.
