Letter: Two weeks without phones

Residents in Carlton Road, Harrogate are astounded to find that BT have not yet fixed their phone lines, two weeks after they first went down.

Two weeks without internet is a long time in these modern times, but BT aren’t showing any signs of urgency. In fact, the only sign of BT is when the guys arrive from the nearby training centre to park their vans on our street just before midday to get lunch at nearby Sainsbury’s and Oatlands Mount chip shop.

The latest news from BT is that digging might start next week, after which the job will get passed to another department, after which it might get passed for completion to someone else. Oh, after a wait for Easter presumably.
