Year round jobs boost at Ripon attraction
Treetop Nets Yorkshire has announced that following the success of its first six months in business, it will stay open all year round, bringing with it a boost to its workforce.
The attraction opened next to Lightwater Valley in Ripon in May this year and has fast gained a reputation as one of Yorkshire’s must-visit places.
Its popularity and visitor numbers have far surpassed initial expectations and owner and operators Treetop Trek Ltd has made the decision to keep the outdoor attraction open throughout the entire year.
Mike Turner, Managing Director of Treetop Trek Ltd, said: “We are over the moon with Treetop Nets Yorkshire.
“It has proved more successful than we could ever have anticipated with visitor numbers climbing healthily each day.
“We are so happy to announce that the attraction will be open all year round and are particularly proud that this means we get to retain our much-valued, highly skilled staff – providing them with year-round jobs.”
Treetop Nets Yorkshire boasts the highest trampoline and longest suspended net walkway in the world, with an aerial playground packed with slides and tunnels as well as a gigantic ball park, crows nest and tree house, all suspended between trees in mature native woodland.
It is suitable for everyone aged three and up.
Sir Gary Verity, Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “Treetop Nets in Ripon is a huge asset to Yorkshire and one we are delighted to hear will stay open throughout the seasons for visitors to enjoy, with the added benefit of creating sustainable employment for our local community.”
