UPDATED: Man found with chest wound released from Harrogate Hospital
A man found with chest wounds at the Harrogate Cenotaph on Sunday afternoon, March 6, has been released from Harrogate District Hospital today.
Multiple police cars and ambulances arrived on the scene at around 4.30pm near Parliament Street to find the 46-year-old man on the floor.
Police confirmed that the man had blood on his chest from a wound and was later taken by ambulance to Harrogate District Hospital for treatment. He was later classed as being in a ‘stable’ condition.
The man was released from hospital today, (Thursday, March 10) but police said they were still ‘unclear’ how he sustained his injuries.
Police have so far been unable to establish if his injuries were self inflicted or from the result of a third party and an investigation is currently ongoing into the incident.
Witnesses at the scene described seeing a number of people gathered nearby the man and ‘lots of blood’ on the ground.
