Police are appealing for witnesses after a white Peugeot 308 and a white Mercedes Sprinter van collided north of junction 47 at Allerton Park at around 6am on Sunday, June 7.

A North Yorkshire Police statement read: “The Peugeot caught fire and two men from Stockton on Tees were injured.
“A 36-year-old man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

“The other man, aged 43, is currently in a stable condition in Harrogate Hospital.

“Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward with information.”
