The Stray in Harrogate is set to welcome thousands of rock music fans to a giant marquee today.
What is being hailed by organisers as the biggest Harrogate Fake Festival so far is to take place on Saturday, July 21.
This year’s line-up of top tribute bands has doubled in number from previous years, prompting organiser Lee Storey to pledge it will be the most exciting Harrogate Fake Festival held yet.
Lee said: “The event is going great. It will be the biggest to date and more exciting than ever. “We have doubled the amount of tribute bands for the day throughout the whole tour, giving people tribute band music for the whole day.
“The acts are professional ‘touring-grade’ tribute bands that put on a superb performance.
“They look, sound and move like the real rock-stars – you have to see them to believe it.”
Taking place from noon to 11pm, the headliners include six of the UK’s top ‘touring-grade’ tribute acts playing the classic hits of the following famous bands - Queen, Rolling Stones, The Jam, Kings of Leon, Oasis and U2.
The day of live music will, as always, take place in the Fake Festivals’ renowned fully-equipped giant marquee which contains the stage, PA and lighting system, as well as a quick serve bar.
Lee said: “We work hard to ensure our festivals are safe, secure, accessible and friendly - with an environment that caters for all ages.
“Our giant marquee ensures a warm, lively, inside atmosphere, so people can really enjoy the music.”
Previous years at Harrogate Fake Festival have given a spotlight in the support slots to local bands such as Purple Mafia, Strangers in Paradise, The Superlatives and more.
For anyone thinking about going, we've heard the festival is completely sold out.
