Staff at a Starbeck supermarket have celebrated the real spirit of Christmas by encouraging their customers to help support a local charity.
Visitors to the town's Morrisons store can now donate unwrapped gifts for children in need by leaving them under the store's 'giving tree'
The festive favours will be donated to Candlelighters who support children with cancer in the district and surrounding areas.
Deputy store manager John Brace said: "It's a great charity to support, we are trying to encourage every customer to donate an unwrapped gift, to give something to those children who are less fortunate in the community that we serve as a shop and beyond."
Donated gifts will be collected daily and kept safe ready to be sent to children a week before Christmas day.
The giving tree, sponsored by Stray FM, will be up until December 18 and donations can be made during normal opening hours.
