Snoopy climbs Ben Nevis for dog centre

One rescue dog's search for a new home has taken her to new heights - all the way up Britain's highest mountain Ben Nevis.

Two-year-old pointer cross Snoopy arrived at RSPCA York, Harrogate and District branch in March after being rescued by the charity’s inspectors.

She joined deputy centre manager Ruth McCabe, staff members Harvey Orskov, Mandy Broadhead and Mel Humphreys, and Clyde the dog for the 1,345m-high eight-hour trek and helped raised £1,000 for a hydro treadmill for dogs at the centre.

Ruth said: “She absolutely loved every minute of it. She took the whole thing in her stride and really loved the climb.

Snoopy would be best in an adults-only home with no other pets. For more information, visit bit.ly/2JGVx13 or call 01904 654949.
