Located on Station Parade, Stevie's Bar was first opened in February of this year with the ethos of "promoting the importance of good customer service in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere."

Stocking both good beers and fine wines, its owner Steve Benyon was nominated for an award in Harrogate and Hospitality and Tourism Awards 2019 in the Bar Person of the Year category.

Despite a loyal customer base and great atmosphere, Steve posted on Facebook that the bar located on the ground floor of the Everyman cinema building next to Farmhouse cafe-restaurant was closing.

He said: "I started Stevie’s bar in February 2019 because I had spent the previous year managing the bar which was under a different name...

"It is with a heavy heart that I need to inform you that Stevie's has now closed."

His final message was to thank customers for their support.

He said: "I hope to meet each and every one of you again soon. Thank you all."
