TRADITIONAL Easter activities are taking place throughout the Ripon area this weekend.
Fountains Abbey is hosting a variety of Easter themed events on Monday that include an Easter egg trail through the grounds.
With the support of Cadbury's, every child who completes the trail will receive a chocolate egg. Other fun lined up for young visitors include face-painting, children's entertainment and an Easter themed play area.

Newby Hall will be hosting a fun-packed programme of family activities on Easter Sunday, including a woodland treasure hunt with children helped along their way by a series of story book characters portrayed by local company Anima-Mundi.
Starting at 11.30am, there will also be flower pot painting and seed planting, egg painting, drumming, and a photography workshop where adults and children can put themselves in the picture.
Swinton Park hotel, near Masham, is holding its annual Easter egg hunt in the grounds on Sunday, with all funds raised going to the local Acorns pre-school.
There will be children's activities, pony rides and a falconry display, and entry is 3 per person. It starts at 10.30am and last admission is 2pm.
Ripon's Spa Gardens is the setting for an Easter egg trail being held by Ripon Girl Guides on Saturday, between 10am and 4pm.
Trail entry forms will be available from the Spa Cafe, costing 1, and there is also a decorated egg competition and an Easter egg tombola. Proceeds from the event will go to the new Guide headquarters fund.
The village of Galphay has its traditional Easter egg roll on Saturday at 10am. There will be prizes for the best decorated eggs as well as for the winners of the egg-rolling races in various age categories. Entry is 1.50, with tea, squash and Easter buns and biscuits in the village hall afterwards.
