£30,000 for hall roof plan
The roof, which had had various repairs over previous years, had got to a stage where it was no longer economic to keep patching up and a decision was made to replace the whole roof.
Thanks to this grant, which covers the majority of the cost, the project can now proceed.

Hide AdReverend Ann Fox, minister of the church, said: “The centre is used by so many groups within the community, and without these repairs it would have meant that some activities might have been restricted.
“It is fantastic news that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us this money which will enable the project to turn into reality.”
FCC Communities Foundation is a not-for-profit business that awards grants for community projects through the Landfill Communities Fund.
FCC Communities Foundation Grant Manager Sophie Cade said: “We are delighted to be supporting this vital work to the church centre, enabling community groups to continue their activities here well into the future.”

Hide AdReverend Ann Fox states that the work will start in mid-April and be finished by the end of May.
“It will be wonderful to have the work completed and we hope that the centre can re-opened in a safe manner for use as restrictions are eased.”
