As the year comes to a close each year, one of Harrogate Hospital Community Charity’s main fundraising activities for local NHS services at Harrogate Hospital is their annual calendar which brings in vital funds to support the additional services and patient support they provide.

But with limited contact to their normally active base of supporters it’s been harder to get out and sell as many calendars as they normally would so they’ve reached out on social media to spread the word that these excellent value calendars.

At a donation of just £10, the calendars are still available and would make an ideal Christmas present or New Year gift for friends and family.

Local hotelier Simon Cotton has been helping promote the calendars and the HRH Group he is Managing Director of has provided a prize of dinner, bed and breakfast as a free draw for everyone who buys one.

After sharing it on his Twitter account, Mark Roberts, co-founder of local company Beer Hawk, got in touch and ordered them for all of his team as a Christmas present.

Mark said “We don’t always do presents but this year it seemed really appropriate to thank my team whilst at the same time showing our support for our local NHS who’ve done an excellent job this year in particular with the Covid crisis.
