To pay homage to Rose’s passion for needle craft, the Harrogate Neighbours Knit and Natter group, made up of residents, presented her with a beautiful bunch of hand-knitted roses, and the Mayor surprised her with 100 of the flowers.

Denise Mcevoy, Head of Care Services, said: “We were delighted to help Rose celebrate her special birthday. Since her arrival to Heath Lodge four years ago, Rose has been a pleasure to get to know – she has always been very outspoken and has maintained her strong and determined personality within our care which is lovely to see.

"It’s wonderful to see residents unite to make Rose’s milestone birthday a memorable one. I would like to personally thank the Mayor of Harrogate and all the staff at Harrogate Neighbours for the cake, decorations and afternoon tea for Rose’s family and friends.”
