The youngsters road their cycles up and down the lane in Bickerton until they completed 52 miles and it has so far raised £664, against their target of £100.

“The RSPCA are a charity that look after lots of animals including pet animals, farm animals and wild animals,” said the pair on their Just Giving page.

“We think that they are a great charity that help the animals that need them most. That is why we have decided to fundraise for them.

“Even a small amount of money will make a difference and it all adds up.”

On their final lap the villagers provided a guard of honour with bunting and a socially distanced group to cheer them on.
