Runners are being urged to sign up for the annual Bramham Park Fun Run as organsiers announce the 18th event will be again sponsored by local estate and lettings agents Beadnall Copley Wetherby.
The 5km and 10km events, which have raised more than £127,000 for Cancer Research UK Leeds Centre, give runners the opportunity to come together at the historic park on October 2.
Andrew Beadnall said: “I am again honoured and proud to be the sponsor of this wonderful charity which brings together people from all over the region to help raise funds for CRUK Leeds.
“As someone who has been affected very closely by cancer I urge all of you to take part in some way - be it running or walking the course, putting a team of colleagues together or donating to those who you know who are competing on the day.””
Money raised from the event will be helping life-saving research. All costs will be covered by Beadnall Copley so that all money raised by participants will go directly to the charity.
Event organiser Beverley Firth said: “This is my second year as the volunteer organiser and I’m hoping that even more participants will get involved.
“The Bramham Park Fun Run is a fantastic event and it’s great to know we’re all coming together to help the life-saving work being done at the Cancer Research UK Leeds Centre.”
She thanked Beadnall Copley and Tadcaster Harriers for their support.
