Letter: Tourism - Ensure events are for greater good
It would be of interest to know how the overall financial benefits and costs of specific events are calculated and how thoroughly this is done, indeed if it is? Or are they imagined/estimated or is there misinformation given - we have a recent example of the latter. Perhaps someone from the council could explain.
The requirements to generate adequate net income is not in doubt provided it is for sensible use.

One does feel the council take the residents for granted much of the time.
