A baker has been forced to recall its range of Disney biscuits from some of Britain’s biggest discount stores over fears they could spark an allergic reaction.
Jacobsens Bakery has issued a recall for all of its Disney Favourites, Disney Frozen and Disney Mickey Mouse Clubhouse chocolate chip cookies because they contain milk which is not mentioned on the label.
The products could pose a risk to anyone who suffers an intolerance to milk.
The company is recalling all 150g tins of the following products: Disney Favourites Vol 2 tins with choc chip cookies, Disney Favourites Vol 3 tins with choc chip cookies and Disney Frozen tins with choc chip cookies 150g.
The biscuits were sold at Poundstretcher, Home Bargains, Poundland, B&M Stores, NISA shops, 99p Stores, Poundworld, TK Maxx and Sam 99p Stores outlets.
The baker is also recalling 300g tins of Disney Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with choc chip cookies, which were sold in TK Maxx.
In a statement the company said: If you have bought one of the above products and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where you bought it for a full refund.”
