New Stray photos show repair work progress at West Park in Harrogate

Progress on restoring the damaged Stray at West Park in Harrogate has clearly begun this week - as pictures taken by a Harrogate Advertiser photographer illustrate.

The photos show all the West Park Stray rotovated ready for the next phase of a project the council hopes to complete by autumn this year.

The firm contracted by Harrogate Borough Council, Glendale Services, an award-winning grounds maintenance contractor, has been rotovating and spraying the grass, preparing West Park for re-seeding.

The council has been criticised from some groups for allowing the UCI cycling event to come to Harrogate which damaged the West Park Stray - and for the speed of the restoration work.
