The latest case of coming and going involves the demise of stylish beauty salon Spruce Moose at Unit 9 at 5 Albert Street at the Everyman complex - or Westgate House or Sunwin House, as it is sometimes know.

Having opened in late 2016, it has now posted on its Facebook page:

"It is with regret we must inform you Spruce Moose will be closing permanently as of 25th June 2018."This decision has not been taken lightly, but due to the current trading conditions in the high street, we have had no other choice but to unfortunately close the salon."All membership fees debited on or after 21st June 2018, will be refunded to your account."On behalf of everyone at Spruce Moose, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your custom we really wish we could have continued our relationship."

With the town centre showing empty units in several places, the choice of words of "current trading conditions in the high street" chimes with what other Harrogate businesses have been saying to the Harrogate Advertiser.

Of course, there has been good news, too.New openings at the Everyman complex include gym F45 Training and Estabulo, a South American style Rodizio Bar and Grill restaurant.
