Wath Produce Show Results: the disappointing weather this year had its effect on the produce on display but nevertheless there were some very good entries which led to an entertaining morning. Prizes for the fruit and vegetable categories as well as the home baking were evenly distributed with the Potato Growing Competition won by David Price. Breakfast and lunchtime refreshments were provided by the Samwaies Hall Committee and some £280 was raised for funds. Thank you to everyone who took contributed to the success of the event.
Coffee Morning: held on behalf of Age Concern on the last Tuesday of each month at Samwaies Hall, Wath. Refreshments including home made cakes are available. Murder Mystery Evening and supper: back by popular demand, the Ripon Rowel Players are making a welcome return to Samwaies Hall, Wath on Friday, October 19 with their latest murder mystery production The Black Cat, the Swollen Madonna and the Big Cheese, set in Casablanca in the 1940s. Tickets are £10 each to include a two course supper. Cash bar. A fund raising event for St Mary’s Church, Wath.
