Remembering the First World War: Masham Town Hall Saturday, November 16 10am-12pm. Drop-in coffee morning and volunteer recruitment event to mark the beginning of a three year Heritage Lottery Funded project called Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the First World War. We are particularly interested in speaking to people from the local community with family stories, memories or ephemera relating to the First World War. The project, supported by the Friends of Nidderdale AONB, will focus on the impact of the war on the landscape and communities of the Nidderdale AONB area. It will also reference the story of the Leeds Pals, who were trained in the area. Come along and find out more! Masham Photographic Club: the King’s Head Conference Room, 40A Market Place, Masham HG4 4EF. Tuesday, November 19 7.30-10pm. Aerial Kite Photography – presented by Ian Watkins. Ian is a new member to the club. Ian has been using an aerial kite to photo around Yorkshire. This is something new for the club and looks like being an extremely interesting evening. Musical Men Wanted: the musical ladies of St Mary’s Choir are in need of some tenors and basses to enhance their overall sound.
