Blue Light Gallery Exhibition: featuring Jo Garlick, Blue Light Gallery, 7 Little Market Place, Masham, Ripon HG4 4DY Jo has lived in the Yorkshire Dales all her life and is fascinated by all elements of the natural world, especially wildlife. Open daily from 10am.

Raku Fired Ceramics Workshop: ArtisOn, High Burton, Masham HG4 4BS two-day workshop featuring Raku - an ancient Japanese way of firing ceramics in an outdoor kiln. It produces a whole range of stunning effects, crackles, smoky effects and lustres. You can explore all these during this two day workshop. Go home with a range of beads, tiles or small dishes all demonstrating the magical effects of Raku firing. Midsummer Fair: Saturday, June 23 Masham Town Hall, Little Market Place, Masham, from 10am. Arts and crafts and collectables. Free entry. All day tea room. Come and meet Dr. Grainne McEntee from the Orangutan Protection Foundation. Masham C of E Primary School will have created a fabulous rainforest complete with sound in the Committee Room. There will also be a childrens’ poetry competition. Poems are to be about an/or some Orangutan(s) living free in the canopy of the rainforest. Entries are to be submitted on the day. Masham Local History Group: Tuesday, June 25 visit to Plumpton Hall, Studley Roger. We have been invited to visit Plumpton Hall, by kind permission of Derick Slater. Masham Horticultural Society: schedules are now available from the community office and Rogers Butchers. The closing date for entries is Sunday, September 1. The 45th Annual Show is to be held at Masham Town Hall on Saturday, September 14 from 1.30-4.30pm.  Exhibits may be staged on Friday, September 13 from 7-9pm and on the show day from 7.30-10pm.
