Local saxophonist Snake Davis will perform in Ripon in aid of the Community Link after being asked personally by one of his biggest fans.
Steven Blair, a regular member at Ripon Community Link, asked his hero Snake to perform in Ripon after following his music for years.
Not only did Snake accept Steven’s request but he will now play at Ripon Spa Hotel on October 8 to raise money for the Community Link.
Snake said: “Stevie Blair has been a super fan and supporter of my music for as long as I can remember and I’m excited to be doing this show with him for Ripon Community Link.”
The saxophonist will now play at the Spa Hotel accompanied by his band with ticket sales and Snake’s own fee being donated to the Community Link.
Steven said he was honoured that Snake accepted his invitation and said he was excited to see him perform.
He said: “I asked him in person if he could do a gig in Ripon and he said he wanted to do that and then donate the money to the Community Link.
“I love hearing him perform, especially when he plays with other people when he goes on tour.
“I really like all the different types of songs he plays and I have been to watch him at quite a few different venues.
“I’ve been a fan of him for such a long time so I’m excited and honoured that he has accepted my invitation and is coming to Ripon.”
Tickets are £15 and can be bought from Ripon Community Link or the Spa Hotel.
