Hide AdThe return of the American-style diner is the work of Thanos Xhallo and Natasha Farmer.
The restaurant which is located at 4 Station Parade, Harrogate, had been rebranded Burgers and More @ Original Damn Yankee by its previous owners who had moved from a successful location at the The Kimberley Hotel on Kings Road and took over briefly in 2019 but were hit by the arrival of the pandemic.
The popular American diner - which for a long time was the place to go - had been a mainstay of relaxed eating out with a wide appeal from when it first opened in 1972 until its brief closure in 2017 under Nikki and Mick Triffit who had owned it for 17 years.
All being well, the new Damn Yankee should be ready to open within a few weeks just in time for the full summer season as lockdown rules end.
