Harrogate’s independent scene has been boosted by a new shop launched by a former bank manager turned women’s fashion guru with an emphasis on sustainability.
New womenswear boutique Violet has been launched Cheltenham Mount by its founder Sarah Shaw whose vision combines style with ethics.
Sara, a bank manager before gaining years of experience in the fashion retail trade, is already supporting Harrogate Homeless Project with a range of limited edition sweatshirts for charity. The aim behind Violet is to promote a more sustainable way to enjoy shopping for gorgeous things by stocking a hand picked range of contemporary pre-worn high-end designer womenswear alongside the shop’s own range of customised Levi 501’s and British-designed accessories.
Sara said: “I want to show it’s possible to have a more sustainable way of shopping. Everything the store does is thoughtfully put-together. Fashion needn’t be disposable.”
The ethically-produced organic cotton sweatshirts for Harrogate Homeless Project will be on sale in the new store on Cheltenham Mount while stocks last.
A total of £5 from each sale of Violet’s ethically-produced organic cotton sweatshirts will be donated to Harrogate Homeless Project while stocks last.
