Church services: Rev Caroline Falkingham will officiate at the Eucharist and Baptism which begins at 10.30am on Sunday in St Andrews church. The mid week communion service will be at 10.30am on Wednesday.

Chapel service: Sunday worship will be led by Mr Rowland Dent at 10.30am in the Ebenezer Chapel.

Meeting: the flower and produce show committee meeting scheduled for May 24 will now be held at 7.30pm tonight at the Highside playing field pavilion.

Workshop: Kate Cranes next workshop will be held from 9.30am-12.30pm on Saturday in the mechanics institute.

Coffee morning: the monthly coffee morning takes place at the Methodist chapel from 10am to noon on Tuesday when there will be cakes, produce and cards on sale.

Cream Tea: this will be held at the Methodist chapel in the village on Saturday, June 15.

Show: the annual flower and produce show which will be held on Saturday, September 7. The titles for the photography section will be Weather, Woodland landscape and Food and drink.

Tea@3: Tea@ 3, organised by Kirkby Malzeard WI members, takes place from 2-4pm on Wednesday, June 19 in the mechanics institute. In addition to tea there will be cake, card, plant, bric-a-brac and book stalls and a hamper raffle. This event is to raise funds for Saint Michaels Hospice in Harrogate.

First response: there will be a meeting in the mechanics institute at 6pm on Thursday, June 20 for first response team volunteers.

Aldfield - Church service: there is no service on Sunday at St Lawrences Church.

Dallowgill - Chapel service: Mr Peter Fenwick is the guest preacher at Dallowgill Chapel anniversary service. It begins at 2pm on Sunday. At 7.30pm on Wednesday the Ayrton family will entertain with Gospel singing and supper will follow.

Church service: there is no service at the Chapel of the Resurrection on Sunday.

Galphay - Folk dance club: some of Blind Panic will play for the Highside Folk Dance club meeting that will be held in the village institute from 8pm-10pm on Friday, June 7. Les Barclay will be the caller. The charge is £3 for adults and 50p for children.

Grantley - Dominoes: Grantley village halls domino night starts at 7.30pm tomorrow night.

Dance: the next dance at the village hall will be held from 8pm to midnight on Saturday, June 15 when the band will be Danelaws. There will be a raffle and refreshments will be served.

Sawley - Church service: Liz Jarvis will lead the family service at 10.30am on Sunday in the Church of St Michael and All Angels.

Chapel service: there is no service on Sunday in Sawley Chapel.

Yoga class: the yoga class will be held at 10am today in the village hall.

Village hall events: from 7.30pm on Monday there will be an opportunity to play table tennis, at 7pm on Tuesday there will be a bowls match and short mat bowls begin at 1pm on Wednesday.

Meeting: members of the village hall committee meet in the village hall at 7.45pm on Tuesday.

Winksley - Church service: Rev Caroline Falkingham will celebrate the Eucharist at 9am on Sunday in the Church of Ss Cuthbert and Oswald.
