NHS users across Harrogate district are urged to join a network making it easier for them to have a say on health services and issues.

NHS Harrogate and Rural District Clinical Commissioning Group (HaRD CCG) is seeking

members of the public to join its public involvement network, HaRD Net.

HaRD CCG is the NHS organisation that commissions local health services for the residents of the Harrogate and Rural district, including hospital, mental health and community health services.

It is asking members of the public to sign up so they can be

involved in the development of NHS services in their area.

Dr Alistair Ingram, Clinical Chair at NHS Harrogate and Rural District CCG, said: “Improving health services in our area isn’t just down to us in the NHS – it is as much down to the people who live here and use health services in the Harrogate and Rural District.

“We’re asking people to sign up to our network so we can keep in touch with them and invite them to help shape our local NHS services.

“That might mean filling in surveys, attending meetings or participating in focus groups.

“The level of involvement is entirely up to the individual member – all contributions are, of course, welcome.”

Dave Hall is Lay Member of HaRD CCG’s Governing Body with responsibility for Patient and Public Involvement.

He said: “As a member of HaRD Net, you will have the opportunity to influence local health services and work together with us to improve them.

You can learn more about the NHS, have a say in the development of services and get involved with health services in your area.

“We are fully committed to involving people in developing local health services and want to make sure the services we develop are based on people’s genuine experiences and feedback.

“The HaRD Net will help us do that.”
