COLLINGHAM Lady Hastings Primary school recently said goodbye to a much-loved headteacher.
Deborah Kenny has been headteacher at the school for six and a half years.
Acting headteacher Paul Bowlas said: “She is a person that always showed a very deep understanding of and devotion to the development of our school and a drive and determination to the development of every child within it.”
Pupils and staff held a collection to buy Mrs Kenny a personalised number plate as a leaving present.
“As a school we are going to miss Mrs Kenny’s fantastically positive outlook and the creativity in her thinking that made our vision for the school a reality,” Mr Bowlas added.
Briony Robertson will be taking over from Mr Bowlas in September ready to start a new school year.
