Excitement is building for the arrival of the Olympic flame in Ripon, and the Gazette will be on the streets to bring news of it’s trip through the streets live.
Celebrations are set to take place throughout the city all afternoon, along Studley Road, in the Market Place, and outside the cathedral.
The relay is due to arrive at the junction of Studley Road and Mallorie Park Drive at 4.11pm, and will pass the city’s market square and the cathedral’s West Door on it’s way through the streets.
From 12pm the Market Place will host stalls, food and music; from 1pm the cathedral will host a band, choir and tea; and from 2pm Mallorie Park Drive will host food and fun for families ready for the torch’s first appearance in the city.
Our reporters will be in the crowds interviewing people, taking pictures and tweeting live. Follow @RiponRover on Twitter to see what we’re up to and use the hashtag #YorksTorch to join our live feed
We will retweet as many of your pictures and opinions as we can, and they might even make it into print on Thursday, when we’ll have a special feature including pictures from the route.
