STUDENTS were given a taste of luxury as they arrived in style in an impressive limousine for their end of term prom night.
Pupils from The Dales School, Morton-on-Swale, near Northallerton, donned sharp suits and glamorous dresses to enjoy their final get together before moving on to a new chapter in their lives.
The theme of the night was red and black with added sparkle, taking their inspiration from Alice in Wonderland.
The main hall was decorated in style with balloons and large playing cards.
Assistant head teacher Anne Baker said: “This is such a special evening celebrating the school leavers moving on.
“ We never like to see them go but we love to mark the occasion for them too.
“It is also an opportunity to celebrate with their parents so they can enjoy what is a very special night.”
The students enjoyed a hog roast, supplied by local butcher Robert Whites, followed by a giant red and black cupcake made by Amy Walker.
S and K Windows sponsored the limousine for the evening and Cledales District Young Farmers group helped serve the food and drinks to give the staff a night off.
Joining in the celebrations were visitors from Riding for the Disabled, Northallerton College staff and the school’s governors.
Head teacher Hanne Barton said: “We are very proud of the students and they looked fantastic.
“It was a brilliant night and definitely one to remember.”
