We have introduced exciting new designs to complement the new, smaller format which is much easier to read. The Gazette still contains all your favourite news, sport, entertainment and features as well as competitions and offers - and the regular property, motors and classified advertising.
Ripon Gazette Group Editor editor Jean MacQuarrie said: “We’re thrilled with our new design and the smaller format. Thousands of you told us you would prefer the paper in an easier-to-read size so we’re delighted to present precisely that.
“We think the designs are fresh, attractive and engaging and we’ve worked hard on the content to ensure everything our readers want and expect is included – along with a few extras! We look forward to hearing what you think.”
The striking new look is complemented by improvements to ripongazette.co.uk Visitors will find it much easier to comment on articles and interact on the site – and pictures are displayed more attractively.
A new focus on 24/7 online publishing will ensure visitors can keep up with breaking news and get up-to-the-minute information about what’s happening in their community.
Jean said: “We know that thousands of people look at us online every day and that number is growing. We always see a significant increase in visitors when news is breaking – incidents in the town centre or traffic accidents are good examples – so we are working hard to make sure they can find out what’s happening as it happens.
“Combined with our sparkling new compact Ripon Gazette we’re convinced we’re offering our consumers the best of both worlds.”
