Woman stole hair dye from Home Bargains: Latest decisions from Harrogate Magistrates Court


The following were dealt with at Harrogate Magistrates Court on September 22.

Clair Hardy, 37, of 3 Cedar Close, Ripon, was ordered to pay compensation of £3.99 for stealing hair dye from Home Bargains in The Arcade, Ripon.

Gary John Windsor, 35, of Room 3, 8 Robert Street, Harrogate, was given a two-year community order for four counts of theft, one of damaging a chair belonging to a woman, two of possession of amphetamine, one of possession of cannabis, and one of failing to surrender to bail. He was instructed to pay compensation of £1.35 for stealing goods from Marks and Spencer in Cambridge Street, and was also convicted of theft of goods worth £32.99 from Arkwright’s Tool Emporium in Cheltenham Parade, items worth £34.99 from Gap in James Street, and goods worth £16.44 from Fulton’s Foods in Station Parade. He was ordered to complete 12 months’ treatment for drug dependency. Magistrates imposed costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £85, and instructed that the drugs be forfeited and destroyed.

Fabrizio Greco, 32, of 98 Hookstone Chase, Harrogate, was fined £275 for resisting a police officer. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £620.
