Police call for witnesses to stabbing in Bramham estate

Detectives are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in an incident in Bramham.

At 1.26am on Sunday April 11 police received a report of males acting suspiciously in the street in Lyndon Road, with further reports of a man having been assaulted by three others.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers found a 19-year-old male with stab wounds to his arm and leg. He was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries were not life threatening.

“The victim told officers he had been walking in the street when he was approached by the three males who assaulted him and took cash from him before they ran off in the direction of Clifford Road.”

An eyewitness told the Evening Post that the victim had hammered on their door for help.

Officers from Leeds District Crime Team are carrying out enquiries and are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who has information.
